The Great Adventure Lab is an after-school science enrichment program offering our classes in 50+ schools in the D.C. area. We’ve taught thousands of kids how to write their first robotics programs or video game programs (or both!). We also teach science, engineering, electronics...and more! We do it all with SMALL class sizes with an adult to student ratio of 6:1. Our goal is to make science, technology, engineering, and mathematics irresistibly FUN for the next generation.

You can read all about our classes and birthdayparties  at  The site includes plenty of photos and links to videos from our classes!

We are an LLC based in Silver Spring, MD. We are fully insured and our instructors have passed background checks including FBI and state fingerprinting.

Here are mini-descriptions of our Fall 2015 offerings at Oyster Bilingual School.  Please follow links for complete details, including photos!  Room numbers TBD. Instructor will send welcome email several days before class.

Parent aide requirements:

How did Ben Franklin figure out a way to harness electricity, thus making it possible for generations of kids to play all those video games for hours on end? By playing around with it!  Don’t worry—we won’t send your child into a lightning storm with kite and key.

Our students will have even more fun, making batteries, wiring quiz boards and more!

Students may not repeat this class and must be specified grade range.

Areas of Exploration: Electricity, Electronics, Circuits, Schematics, Troubleshooting, Logic.

Class format: Ten 60-min. meetings, once per week.

After school pricing: $160 per student plus $38 supply fee per student, min 11 / max 14 students, 1 instructor, 1 aide. Parent aide for full class gets free tuition. Email if interested.
